The Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa, near Skipton, has scooped the ‘best customer service’ accolade at the 2018 Skipton Business Awards.
Recognising The Coniston’s exceptional commitment to its guests, the award has celebrated the estate for consistently going above and beyond.
Nick Bannister, director at The Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa, said: “Delivering an unsurpassed guest experience is integral to our DNA at The Coniston, where continually improving customer satisfaction levels has made us one of the finest independently-owned hotels in England.
“Our staff are our most prized asset. They are that special something which gives The Coniston its personality and this clearly filters down into the guest experience.”
The hotel is among the highest-rated hotels on Trip Advisor in the North of England, with 74 per cent of reviews rating the hotel as ‘excellent’ and 19 per cent as ‘very good’.
Louise Bolton, managing director at The Coniston Hotel, added: “We create an experience for our guests, whether they are popping in for a quick lunch or combining a spa experience with an overnight stay, they’re at the heart of everything we do.
“Over the last year we have implemented a six-point approach to the guest communication journey, including a pre-arrival email, personal meet-and-greet and daily news sheets. Our guests love the personal touch.”
“We have not been afraid to invest which means our staff are highly trained and strongly motivated. They are focused on, and aware of, our guests’ needs so it’s rewarding for the team to see their hard work recognised.”
Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the 2018 Skipton Business Awards ceremony, held at The Rendezvous Hotel, boasted 230 attendees from the local business community.
The awards are an initiative designed to bring together the brightest stars in the Skipton business community which are helping the local economy.
Nick, added: “The business community in Skipton is second to none, demonstrated by the generous sponsors of the evening and the amount of people celebrating one another. It was a pleasure to be a part of it.”
The judging panel for the awards was made up of impartial business experts from across Yorkshire.
