The Independent Hotel Show starts today at London’s Olympia and is expected to draw in a sizeable crowd of key decision makers and hotel owners.
Only in its second year running, the show will welcome visitors from all over the UK with a fit-to-bursting display of exhibitors – almost double that of last year – an additional seminar theatre and an array of new design projects to help meet the needs of the independent hotelier.
With more than 250 suppliers showcasing their latest products and innovations to the market from a range of categories including interior design, technology & software, hotel amenities and health & wellness, as well as key industry figures offering advice and helpful tips at the business sessions, hoteliers from luxury and boutique establishments will have lots to benefit from.

Other key features include The Hub, a networking area where visitors can mix with like-minded business owners which has been designed by award-winning studio AfroditiKrassa. There will also be The Business Clinic, featuring free one-to-one advice on topics from accountancy to HR and property management, while Destination Spa and Breakfast, Bedroom & Bar will showcase some of the best suppliers to their respective industries.
The Business Session programme will be one of the key highlights of the show, offering a wide range of presentations, panel discussions and Q&As with leading hoteliers and industry insiders. In the Business Solutions theatre, Nick Jones, chief executive of Soho House Group, will join Pride of Britain CEO Peter Hancock and Gordon Campbell Gray of Campbell Gray Hotels to discuss the definitive hoteliers of our time, while renowned entrepreneur Luke Johnson, chairman of Risk Capital Partners, will share candid advice on how to achieve transformational growth through acquisitions, roll-out programmes and bold, organic growth strategies.
In the Industry Issues theatre, sponsored by Ecompter, Tina Conran, of the acclaimed Conran & Partners design practice, will uncover the branding and design techniques used by the world’s leading hotel designers. Roberto Pajares, general manager of The Ampersand Hotel, Rafael Bejerano, director of AB Hotels Ltd UK and Robert Nadler, CEO of Nadler Hotels, will also take to the stage to discuss why London has become one of the most resilient and lucrative markets in the hospitality world, as well as the risks and rewards for those looking to enter the sector.
Tonight will also see The Independent Hotel Show Awards announced, where the ceremony will celebrate ‘Independent Hotelier of the Year’ and ‘Outstanding New Hotel of the Year’, presented by hotelier Jeremy Goring.
