The Landmark London Awarded 6th Position In The Acclaimed Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For 2019

The Landmark London, one of the capital’s most enchanting five-star hotels, is proud to announce that they have been named in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For, 2019 for the second consecutive year.

Being one of only two hotels to receive this prestigious accolade, The Landmark London took the highest placement, listed as 6th. This exceptional positioning builds on a successful 2018 which saw The Landmark London listed as 27th.

The momentous and exclusive list celebrates the top 100 companies in the ‘mid’ category (250 – 3,000 employees) with the highest Best Companies Index scores. Now in its 19th year, the annual list is a high profile and highly regarded event in the nation’s business calendar.

The list ranks Britain’s best companies to work for based on a number of criteria. It is mainly centered on surveys of employee satisfaction and thus is a true reflection of the people whose hard work builds the success of the organisation and determines the position and inclusion in the list. The Landmark London is dedicated to continual and significant investment in their employees, prioritising their development.

Brian Hladnik, Managing Director of Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company comments, “We are exceptionally proud to have The Landmark London achieve such a high-profile accolade again in 2019. There is no doubt that the hard work of our team has made this achievement possible along with our continual investment into their development. The whole team is extremely committed to achieving excellence in all they do, and work hard every day to deliver memorable moments to each other and to the hotel guests.”

Andrew Batchelor, General Manager of The Landmark London comments, “We are delighted and incredibly proud to have made it on this prestigious list for a second time, and it is truly down to the hard work of all our employees that this achievement has been made possible. Nicola Forshaw, Director of Human Resources, has been instrumental in leading us through a robust people plan to achieve this accolade and plays a key role in all employee development. The whole team is extremely committed to achieving excellence in every aspect of what they do, and work hard every day to deliver memorable moments to each other and to our guests. I am incredibly proud of every member of my team.”

Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies comments, “I would like to congratulate The Landmark London on your achievement. Best Companies have been producing the Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like The Landmark London have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”

The last few years have been an exceptionally exciting time for The Landmark London due to significant investment in refurbishing and restoring. The hotel has undergone an extensive overall renovation with completion date set for later this year, coinciding with the hotel’s momentous 120th anniversary on 1st July. With 2019 being such a milestone year for the iconic grand dame hotel, the entire team are extremely gratified to once again achieve the accolade of Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work for.
