Elite Hotels, a group of four high end establishments across the country, celebrated last week as four of its apprentice chefs graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.
Each year the hotel group welcomes a student apprentice into the kitchen of each of its four locations; Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club, East Sussex; Tylney Hall Hotel, Hampshire; The Grand Hotel Eastbourne; and Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa in Bedfordshire. The apprentices are then guided through intricate cooking processes by the head chefs, to prepare them for achieving their diplomas at the academy.
Apprentices David Drohan (The Grand), Tom Grice (Tylney Hall) and Michael Cruickshank (Ashdown Park) graduated with a credit and merits respectively, while Oliver Miccoli, who was based at Luton Hoo Hotel, graduated with a distinction.
The graduation ceremony took place at The Langham Hotel in London, and since the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ founding in 1980, the association has helped nurture and teach some of the industry’s leading professionals.
