Kenny McMillan, Regional Executive Chef at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, has been named Executive Chef of the Year at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2015, dubbed the ‘Scottish Hotel Oscars’, which celebrates the best of the hotel industry and outstanding service.
Kenny was recognised for his passion for sourcing quality, local ingredients and designing menus which reflect the unique characteristics of some of Macdonald Hotels’ most iconic hotels, including the listed art deco New Drumossie Hotel, Inverness and the iconic Norwood Hall Hotel, Aberdeen.
He was also recognised for his commitment in mentoring up-and-coming chefs at Macdonald Hotels & Resorts including Euan Walker, who won Young Highland Chef of the Year in 2011 and has gone on to become Head Chef at New Drumossie Hotel, Inverness.

Kenny also oversees the three double AA-rosette awarded restaurants – the Tapestry Restaurant at Norwood Hall Hotel, Mither Tap Restaurant at Macdonald Pittodrie House and The Grill Room at New Drumossie Hotel.
