New Website Built for Hospitality’s Next Generation

A Michelin-star chef has launched a website to aid budding chefs on their career path, after discovering that many emerging chefs do not have the right skills to manage their kitchens and menus efficiently and lucratively.

Renowned chef John Wood, who has worked at the Burj-al-Arab Dubai, the Dorchester and Cliveden to name a few, has spent more than three years developing a series of bespoke tools for new interactive website Kitchen Cut. It has been designed to support the current and next generation of chefs, restaurateurs and hotel businesses to build profitable enterprises.

Mr Wood said: “It has became clear to me that the financial and man-management skills required to run a successful hospitality business were not extensively covered in chef’s training, or at any point afterwards as chefs progressed through their careers.”

Kitchen Cut provides solutions for a host of commercial issues faced by chefs but also interesting industry features – such as global food trends and chef news updated in real time. Services include secure online recipe storage, a margin development system with RSP and COS calculations, training, HR and management tools and up-to-the-minute supplier prices.

The site, which costs from just £9.99 per month for the ‘First Cut Package’ through to £79.99 for the platinum ‘Final Cut’ offering, has already been heavily trialled by some of the most respected names in the industry including Jason Atherton, Gary Rhodes, Phil Vickery and Claude Bosi. As part of a special launch promotion, Kitchen Cut is offering a two-week free trial to all users and a discount for those who sign up for an annual subscription.

Hotel Business readers will also receive a special discount at www.kitchencut.co.uk using this code hotelbusinessmag25.
