Those clever people at Snowbird foods who have delivered so many innovative ideas to the foodservice and ready meals markets have taken a huge step towards providing better, faster and more outstanding profitable ideas and services – they have bought the company!
The business has driven the development of the fully cooked and frozen market for quality sausages and meat balls and in doing so has won 16 awards since January 2011.
The purchase, for an undisclosed sum, will provide greater stability for the Enfield, Middlesex company and has been welcomed by all the staff.
“They know the future for Snowbird is in Enfield and they know they can contribute to a period of profitable growth above and beyond that which we have delivered in the last ten years,” said joint managing director, Philip Paul. He now shares that title with former finance director, Albert McGovern, with whom he bought the business.
The management team is completed by Roy Anderson, the sales director. They have run the company as a team for the last 13 years for a succession of owners.
Investment is planned in the short term to enable Snowbird to capitalise on more profitable ideas currently on the drawing board.
