We continuously strive to innovate the development of beds, says Steve Truswell, Sales Director of Harrison Spinks Hospitality Division.

Since launching in late 2014, our Hospitality Division has already established itself as a leader within the sector. Utilising more than 175 years’ experience, our mattresses provide guests and hoteliers with an unrivalled sleeping experience, which stems from our innovative, eco-friendly and award-winning ethos.

Our patented pocket spring technology not only gives us a leading spring count and unrivalled comfort, but also helps promote air circulation throughout the beds. With over 50 million springs being manufactured from our Leeds-based factory each month, their innovative design helps to keep the mattress clean and fresh time after time.

The springs work effectively with our natural fillings, some of which have been grown on our own 300-acre Yorkshire farm, located just 18 miles away from our factory. All our natural materials have been carefully selected as they don’t just provide comfort, but offer unique properties unlike any other. Hemp, for example, is absorbent and naturally resistant to mildew. This keeps the bed fresh, is more hygienic and allows the mattress to breathe more effectively. Another natural filling used prominently within our products is wool, some of which is sourced from our own flock of sheep. Wool ensures guests are warm and snug in the winter months, and cool and comfortable throughout the summer.

Alongside the added comfort provided by the springs and natural materials, each mattress is treated with our BugGuard™ formula. Recognising bed bug infestation as an ongoing problem which can affect hotel revenue and, more importantly, customer satisfaction, our BugGuard™ formula will eradicate all bugs within 48 hours of use. The formula is proven to be un-harmful to human skin, giving guests and hoteliers added confidence and the best possible night’s sleep.
